FlowRunner is a product of Backendless Corp. (“Backendless,” “we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms of Service (ToS) apply specifically to FlowRunner and extend Backendless Corp.'s overarching Terms of Service. By using FlowRunner, you agree to comply with these terms and all applicable clauses outlined in Backendless’s general ToS.
FlowRunner-Specific Terms
Use of the Service
- Integration with Backendless Platform
FlowRunner seamlessly integrates with Backendless’s features, including the database, file storage, messaging, and UI Builder. By using FlowRunner, you agree that workflows created within the platform may access these resources, subject to the limits and pricing outlined on the FlowRunner Pricing Page and the Backendless Pricing Page. - Custom Extensions and Marketplace
FlowRunner enables developers to create custom extensions and publish them to the Backendless Marketplace. By publishing an extension:- You retain ownership of the code while granting Backendless a license to distribute the extension.
- Backendless is not liable for any misuse, errors, or damages caused by extensions developed by third parties.
- Workflows and Automation
You are solely responsible for ensuring that workflows created using FlowRunner comply with applicable laws, including data protection and intellectual property laws. Backendless reserves the right to review workflows suspected of violating these terms. - SLA Compliance and Monitoring
FlowRunner includes tools for SLA tracking and compliance monitoring. While the Service provides notifications, reports, and corrective actions based on the configurations you define, Backendless is not liable for failures to meet SLA terms or deadlines.
Responsibilities of Users
- Data Ownership
All workflows, automation configurations, and associated data remain your property. Backendless ensures data security as per the Privacy Policy. - Compliance with Laws
By using FlowRunner, you confirm that your workflows do not violate any local, national, or international laws, including GDPR or HIPAA regulations, if applicable to your operations. - Proper Use of Resources
Abuse of the FlowRunner platform, such as creating workflows designed to exploit system resources or cause harm, is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of access.
Billing and Fees
FlowRunner usage is subject to the pricing structure outlined on the FlowRunner Pricing Page and the Backendless Pricing Page. Note:
- Custom extensions published for profit through the Marketplace are subject to a revenue-sharing agreement outlined during the publication process.
- Payments for FlowRunner features are governed by Backendless’s general billing practices.
Limitation of Liability
Backendless is not liable for:
- Any errors in workflows resulting from misconfiguration or misuse of the FlowRunner platform.
- Failures in third-party integrations used within FlowRunner workflows.
Termination of Access
Backendless reserves the right to terminate access to FlowRunner for violations of these terms, the overarching Backendless ToS, or any other related policies.
Agreement
By using FlowRunner, you acknowledge that these terms serve as an addendum to the Backendless Terms of Service and agree to comply with both.
