Drip
Email MarketingConnect AI agents to Drip, the ecommerce CRM and email marketing platform. Agents upsert subscribers by email, apply and remove tags, record ecommerce events, enroll people in email series campaigns, and read campaign and workflow lists for reporting.
What This Integration Enables
Drip's automation engine is only as good as the signals reaching it, and in most stacks those signals arrive by CSV, late. This connector makes FlowRunner agents the signal path: they upsert subscribers by email so records never duplicate, apply and remove tags that Drip automations key on, record ecommerce events with arbitrary properties, enroll people in email series campaigns, and read campaign and workflow inventories for reporting. The premise: the email platform should be a projection of what actually happened in the business, not a parallel database someone maintains. Agents keep the projection current; humans decide what gets sent and what gets erased. Segments built on projected truth convert differently than segments built on last quarter's import. - Upsert customers and leads from stores, forms, and CRMs without duplication - Tag and untag subscribers to drive segmentation and trigger automations - Record purchases, logins, and product views as events with properties - Enroll subscribers in series campaigns, with double opt-in where required - Execute unsubscribe and deletion requests on a compliance clock

Use Case Scenarios
Order to lifecycle email in one motion
A new order fires from [Shopify](/integrations/shopify). The agent calls Create or Update Subscriber with the buyer's email, name, and custom fields for order count and lifetime value, then Record Event with "Placed an order" and the cart contents as properties. Drip's behavioral automations take it from there: the first-purchase flow for new names, the replenishment reminder for repeat ones. The marketing team builds flows; the agent guarantees the flows have fuel.
Paid conversion, tagged and enrolled
When a subscription payment succeeds in [Stripe](/integrations/stripe), the agent applies the "paying-customer" tag with Apply Tag, removes "trial" with Remove Tag, and calls Subscribe to Campaign to start the onboarding series, resolved against the live list from List Campaigns. Because Apply Tag and Subscribe to Campaign are upserts, the flow works even when billing knew about the customer before marketing did. Segments stop lying about who pays.
The opt-out that actually closes
A deletion request arrives through the privacy inbox. The agent calls Get Subscriber to capture the record's state for the compliance log, runs Unsubscribe Subscriber immediately so mailings stop while review happens, and stages Delete Subscriber for confirmation. Once the privacy owner confirms the requester's identity matches the record, the deletion executes and the confirmation, with timestamps, is filed to [Google Sheets](/integrations/google-sheets). The request closes in hours with evidence, not in weeks with apologies.
Human-in-Loop Highlight
Delete Subscriber removes the record entirely and cannot be undone: tags, custom fields, event history, lifetime value, gone. That is exactly right for a verified erasure request and exactly wrong for a typo, and an agent cannot always tell which one it is holding, because the difference lives in identity verification, not in the data. So FlowRunner flows stage every permanent deletion behind a person: the agent presents the record, "[email protected], subscribed 2023, 41 events, lifetime value on file, deletion requested via privacy form", and the privacy owner confirms the requester is the record holder before the irreversible call runs. Unsubscribe Subscriber, which is reversible and retains the record, runs without ceremony the moment the request lands. Speed where mistakes are cheap, judgment where they are permanent, and a compliance log that shows both happening on time.
Agent Capabilities
11 actionsSubscribers
5- List Subscribers Retrieves subscribers with filtering by status, tag, subscription date range, and custom field value, with paging metadata. The read behind segmentation exports and audits.
- Get Subscriber Fetches one subscriber by Drip ID or email: status, tags, custom fields, lifetime value, and timestamps. The evidence capture before any consequential change.
- Create or Update Subscriber Upserts a subscriber matched on email, setting custom fields, tags, time zone, and subscription status. The default write for sync flows, because it cannot duplicate.
- Unsubscribe Subscriber Stops all mailings, series and broadcasts, while retaining the record. The reversible half of opt-out handling, safe to run immediately.
- Delete Subscriber Permanently deletes the subscriber record. Cannot be undone, which is why FlowRunner flows gate it behind identity confirmation.
Tags
2- Apply Tag Applies a single tag by email, creating the subscriber if needed. The lever that fires tag-triggered Drip automations.
- Remove Tag Removes a single tag by email. Used to reverse segmentation as status changes.
Events
1- Record Event Records a custom event with arbitrary properties against a subscriber, "Placed an order", "Logged in", powering behavioral flows and workflow triggers.
Campaigns
2- List Campaigns Retrieves email series campaigns filtered by status, with IDs, names, and subscriber counts. The lookup behind enrollment steps.
- Subscribe to Campaign Enrolls an email address in a series campaign, with optional custom fields, time zone, and double opt-in, creating the subscriber if needed. The write that starts a sequence landing in a real inbox.
Workflows
1- List Workflows Retrieves automation workflows with ID, name, and state, for reporting and for resolving IDs used elsewhere.
