Ontraport
CRMConnect AI agents to Ontraport, the marketing automation and CRM platform. Agents create and update contacts, apply and remove tags for segmentation, work with any object type including deals and custom objects, and look up email messages.
What This Integration Enables
In Ontraport, a tag is not a label. It is a lever. Campaigns watch tags, so applying one can start a sequence, remove one can end it, and the contact database doubles as the control panel for everything the company sends. FlowRunner treats that with the respect it deserves: agents keep contacts, deals, and custom objects current at machine speed, and the tag operations that fire live automations run behind explicit review when they touch people in bulk. That split, machine hands on the data layer and human judgment at the campaign boundary, is what makes an automated Ontraport account trustworthy at scale. - Sync leads and customers from forms, stores, and other systems into contacts with standard and custom fields - Read and write any object type, including deals, tasks, products, and the custom objects that make your account yours - Apply and remove tags in response to workflow events so segmentation tracks behavior - Filter with free-text search and raw condition strings for precise segment pulls - Look up message assets with List Messages so flows reference the right email by ID

Use Case Scenarios
Campaign-source segmentation without the spreadsheet detour
Webinar registrations arrive from [Typeform](/integrations/typeform). For each respondent, the flow checks List Contacts by email, writes new leads with Create Contact including the UTM fields, and applies the campaign source tag with Add Tag so the right nurture sequence starts immediately. The registrant who fills the form at 11 pm enters the sequence at 11 pm, not after Tuesday's import.
Buyers stop getting prospect emails
A [Shopify](/integrations/shopify) order fires the flow. Update Contact enriches the customer record with the purchase, Create Object writes the transaction against the deals object, and the flow calls Add Tag to mark them a buyer and Remove Tag to pull the prospect tag in the same pass. The nurture sequence stops, the onboarding sequence starts, and nobody receives a discount offer for the thing they bought yesterday.
The segment pull that answers a question, not just exports rows
Before a reactivation campaign, the flow runs List Contacts with a condition string for customers with no purchase object in two quarters, cross-references their deal history through List Objects, and writes the segment to [Google Sheets](/integrations/google-sheets) with last-purchase context per row. A summary posts to [Slack](/integrations/slack) with the segment size and makeup, so the campaign owner reviews who the send will reach before any tag is applied.
Human-in-Loop Highlight
Add Tag looks like a data operation and behaves like a send button. Because Ontraport campaigns trigger on tag application, tagging eight hundred contacts is functionally enrolling eight hundred people in whatever sequence watches that tag, and the first email goes out before anyone can reconsider. So FlowRunner agents treat bulk tagging as a gated operation. The reactivation sweep assembles its segment, checks it against exclusion rules, and posts the result: 812 contacts match dormant-customer criteria, the winback tag will enroll them in the winback sequence, and 14 of them also carry an open support ticket tag. The lifecycle manager pulls the 14, approves the rest, and only then does Add Tag run. Segmentation at machine speed, but the moment that puts email in real inboxes belongs to the person who answers for the unsubscribe rate.
Agent Capabilities
10 actionsContacts
4- List Contacts Retrieves a paginated list of contacts with free-text search, a raw condition string for advanced filtering, sorting, and range-based pagination. The lookup step behind matching and every segment pull.
- Get Contact Retrieves a single contact by ID with all stored fields, standard and custom. The full-context read before an update or a routing decision.
- Create Contact Creates a contact with email, name, and any additional standard or custom fields as a key/value object. The write that turns a form fill into a record.
- Update Contact Updates an existing contact by ID, changing only the supplied fields. Used for enrichment, purchase history, and lifecycle field changes.
Objects
3- List Objects Retrieves paginated records for any object type: contacts, deals, tasks, products, and custom objects, by common type or raw numeric object ID, with search, condition strings, sorting, and pagination.
- Create Object Creates a record of any object type with fields supplied as a key/value object. The write behind deals, transactions, and custom program records.
- Update Object Updates a record of any object type by ID, changing only the supplied fields. Keeps custom objects tracking reality instead of the last manual audit.
Tags
2- Add Tag Adds one or more tags to one or more records. Because campaigns trigger on tags, this is the operation this page's human gate exists for when it runs in bulk.
- Remove Tag Removes one or more tags from one or more records. The other half of clean segmentation: buyers leave prospect sequences the moment they buy.
Messages
1- List Messages Retrieves a paginated list of email messages and other message assets defined in the account, with search. Used to resolve message IDs referenced in downstream automations.
