The reviewers give or withhold approval in ReviewStudio, which no action here can do for them ## What This Integration Enables ReviewStudio is online proofing, which makes it an unusual thing to automate: the product's entire purpose is a human looking at a piece of work and deciding. Everything around that decision, though, is administrative, and that is a lot of work. Assets have to be gathered into reviews, reviewers assigned, deadlines set, versions advanced without losing the annotations attached to the previous one, notes collected and routed back to whoever has to act on them, and stragglers chased. FlowRunner agents do all of it. They create clients, projects and reviews, add files by upload or by remote URL, capture live pages and snapshots for web work, manage reviewers and teams, apply labels and workflows, read every note and approval state, and inspect the webhook delivery log when a review's callback appears to have gone quiet. What the connector will not do is worth stating plainly, because it is the point rather than a limitation. Approvals here are read-only. List Review Approvals, List Approved By Users, List Rejected By Users, List Approved With Changes By Users and List Pending Approvals all report what people decided; nothing in this action list records a decision on somebody's behalf. That is the correct shape for a proofing tool, and it happens to be an exact statement of FlowRunner's own thesis. Agents do the assembling, the chasing and the routing. The agent resolves the client and project with List Clients and List Projects, reads List Project Team to see which reviewers the project applies by default, and calls Create Review with the project, the reviewers and the files in a single call. Where the asset should stay under the source system's control, Add Remote File Version hands ReviewStudio the URL and thumbnail rather than the bytes, so the drive remains authoritative and ReviewStudio carries the annotations. Notify Review Users sends the invitation with the deadline. The producer's part of this was approving the reviewer list once, months ago, when the project team was set. ### Chasing that reads the pending list rather than guessing Twice a day the agent calls List Pending Approvals for every open review, which returns exactly the people who have not decided yet. It cross-references the deadline on each review and separates the reviews still inside their window from the ones past it. Inside the window, a single reminder goes out through Notify Review Users. Past it, the escalation names the review, the file, the outstanding reviewer and how long it has been waiting, and goes to the account lead in [Slack](https://flowrunner.ai/integrations/slack) rather than to the reviewer again. Nobody is chased twice for the same thing, and nobody is chased at all for a review that already has its answer. ### Feedback that reaches the person who has to act on it When a review closes, the agent reads List Review Notes for what is being said on the current versions, and List All Review Notes when the history matters because a comment on a superseded version is still an instruction. It reads the outcome from List Approved By Users, List Rejected By Users and List Approved With Changes By Users, then assembles a change list per file and posts it to the studio's own work tracker with the reviewer's name against each item. Batch Lock Files stops further annotation on the versions that are settled, so the next round starts from a clean surface rather than from a file people are still writing on. ## Human-in-Loop Highlight Delete Project deletes every review inside it, and ReviewStudio takes no confirmation parameter and offers no move option. That gate is worth building because of a comparison the vendor themselves drew one level up. Delete Client refuses to run unless the caller says what happens to the client's projects and reviews: either destroy them, or move them to another client. ReviewStudio deliberately protects against an accidental cascade there. At project level it does not, and Delete Project simply takes the reviews with it. There is no undelete published for a review either, so the files, the annotations and the approval history go together. So an archival flow does everything except the delete. It resolves the project, calls List Project Reviews and reads how many reviews are in it and when each was last active, checks List Review Approvals to see whether any of them carry decisions that somebody might later need to point at, and then asks: "Delete project Vantage Rebrand 2025. It holds 9 reviews, 3 with recorded approvals, most recent activity 11 months ago. Deleting takes all 9 with their annotations and approval history. Delete, or move the reviews to another project first?" The account lead answers. FlowRunner is supplying the confirmation the API declined to ask for.
